Terms & Conditions, Shipping & Sizing
Fran accepts credit and debit card payments via PayPal. All orders, domestic and international, paid with PayPal must be shipped to the verified address on your account.
Fran accepts payment plans on a case by case basis for ready to wear orders and custom designs. Any item bought on a payment plan is only refundable as store credit, so please be sure you want the piece and can complete the plan (please see returns, cancellations and exchanges). Fran will happily resize any ring from her collections free of charge, however the customer must cover all shipping costs. The ring must be in its original condition and packaging, with the new ring size indicated, and returned within 30 days of receipt. Contact Fran prior to the return so she can advise of the return address.
Fran offers free domestic and international delivery for all purchases and custom orders. Delivery within the UK is sent via Royal Mail special delivery which is fully tracked and insured. All international deliveries are sent via an express courier service which is fully tracked and insured.
Note for international customers: many countries charge VAT or duties on imported goods, it is advised that you to look into whether you will be charged an import fee as Fran cannot be held responsible for any charges levied by your country of residence. All additional fees are to be paid by the customer at the time of delivery. Please remember that free international shipping is offered as a way to help with any customs costs.
Delivery & Shipping policy
Fran offers shipping to all international locations. All items are shipped with the appropriate insurance as Fran cannot be held responsible for damage or loss in the care of the shipping agent. All parcels will require a signature upon receipt.
Much of Fran’s work includes items which are made to order so if you need an item by a certain date, please get in touch to find out the item’s lead time or current stock availability.
Finding your ring size
The best way to determine your ring size is to simply pay a visit to your local jeweller to be professionally sized. If you are from outside of the UK please note that your size may need to be converted. Some online conversion charts vary, this is a chart (Fran Barker Design Ring Size Chart) I have put together and it has been tried and tested by my clients.
If you have any concerns and would prefer to talk through your sizing, please get in touch. Sizing is important, so it's worth taking the time to get this right.
All custom designs are very much tailor made processes for each customer. Rest assured that you will be notified of any labour and shipping time frames at the time of your order. Fran will endeavour to try her best to get every item of jewelry to her clients in the time they have requested. A 50% deposit is required once final designs and gemstones are approved. The final balance is due on completion prior to delivery/shipping.
A time frame for custom orders will be discussed on a case-by-case basis and depending on the project.
Returns, cancellations and exchanges
Once your order has been submitted (custom designs and ready to wear items, including items purchased through a payment plan) any cancellations must be made in writing, via email, within 24 hours. No cancellations are allowed once an order has been processed.
Fran will gladly accept returns for shop credit on any item (except for custom designed jewellery) that is in its original condition for shop credit only. For all exchange requests, please contact Fran within 5 days of receiving your order. It is required that all merchandise be shipped within 5 days from the date your email is received. If requests or returned merchandise for exchange fall outside the above time frames, your return for exchange will not be accepted. Item(s) will be returned for exchange at your expense.
Any exchange items that need to be altered from the current stock size will incur a £50 charge.
Fran reserves the right to reject any returns/exchanges that do not comply with the conditions stated above. If your package is not accepted, it will be sent back to you at your expense and the store credit will not be granted.
Due to the nature of bespoke designs being tailor made to each individual, Fran cannot accept returns or refunds on custom pieces.
